Computer Gurus was formed in 1994 under the name Computor Tutor in San Diego County in Escondido, CA. Computer Tutor’s focus was on computer training and technical support (tech support) for non-technical users who needed to work and occasionally play on their desktop computers. Our mission then was to present computers in language that the majority of the populace could understand.

In 1997 a larger number of our clients were in need of a wider range of services and we adapted to meet those needs. Our focus changed from merely explaining the technology to creating products for our clients. We changed our name from Computer Tutor to Computer Gurus, in 2000 to reflect our change in focus.
