2009.06.01: Weclome to the Computer Gurus website. Computer Gurus is now CompGu, LLC. The public name, and the logo will stay the same for our clients and friends. Additionaly, our services have changed to reflect the need for focus in this economy. Web and software application development is our strength. We will continue to pursue best practices and expose new technologies for the benefit of our clients.
Computer Gurus was formed in 1994 under the name Computor Tutor in San Diego County. Computer Tutor's focus was on computer training and support for the non-technical minded users who basically needed to work and occasionally play on their desktop computers. Our mission then was to present computers in language that the majority of the populace could understand.
In 1997 a larger number of our clients were in need of a wider range of services and we adapted to meet those needs. Our focus changed from merely explaining the technology to creating new products for our clients. Those service additions included web site creation, application development, & software maintenance and testing.
In 2000 we changed our name from Computer Tutor to Computer Gurus to reflect our change in focus.
In 2003 we expanded our physical presence into Riverside county. Computer Gurus' consultants have succesfully serviced clients through-out southern California and beyond. This expansion allowed us to have frequent interaction with our expanding client base.
In 2005 Computer Gurus once again expanded our offerings. We have partnered with T1 Providers like O1 Communications, Co-Location Centers and DSL Vendors to bring High-Speed connections and reliable networks to our clients. We have also signed-on with Tek-Secure Labs to allow us to bring network monitoring for security and stability to our clients.
In 2006, Computer Gurus started a relationship with Ford Financial Services, Inc. Ford Financial Services, Inc. ("FFSI") is a California based commercial finance company. FFSI is a Direct Lender that specializes in providing equipment leasing and offers quality financing packages that allows you to take advantage of the latest technology now, with the flexibility of payment over time.
In 2007, Computer Gurus added services and partners to better serve our clients. We have Secure Certificate and Authentication services provided by Comodo to secure your online experience. Additionally we now have the best hosting bang for you buck with our Virtual Hosting provided by BLUEHOST.COM.
